Job Description

The Staff Accountant/Payroll Administrator will provide the following support to the Finance Group:

  • Maintain full payroll responsibilities using Paychex Payroll and TLO applications, from new employee setup to collecting hours, calculating payroll, distributing checks, and ensuring proper governmental reporting. Run payroll reports and communicate all payroll changes with management. Journal each payroll in SAP. Reconcile all payroll accounts, including payroll taxes, accrued paid time off and workers comp
  • Manage international payroll and related benefits in coordination with   Human Resources.
  • Schedule and prepare all documentation for the annual workers comp and 401k audits. Communicate all audit requests with HR and Administration and facilitate the audit process from beginning to end.
  • Take ownership of various governmental reporting's, such as sales taxes in multiple states preparing and filing as needed; researching and establishing governmental relations as necessary; resolving issues and audit findings.
  • Assist with other balance sheet schedules, roll forwards and reconciliations on a monthly basis with an eye to accuracy.
  • Assist with the annual audits.
  • Assist with internal and external reporting as necessary
  • Perform other duties as may arise from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with five+ years of related experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel &  Word
  • SAP knowledge preferred  
  • Thorough knowledge of general accounting concepts & principles and the ability to put them into practice
  • Responsible and able to meet deadlines. 
  • Must be accurate, detail oriented, and well organized 
  • Willingness to learn and assume additional responsibilities
